| (Above) Photographer Tim Abler of Milwaukee, is collecting pictures of some of our trekkers. Below are some excerpts from the article in the Phillips, The BEE. (Click on the above link to read the entire article!) The Department of Workforce Development, in cooperation with the Wisconsin Arts Board and the Percent for Art Program, has commissioned five photographers to document Wisconsin workers in the context of their employment. The resulting photographs will be part of the Wisconsin Labor History Survey Collection displayed at the DWD offices in Madison. Abler said he choose Storybook Farm to be part of his submissions because it was a people-oriented business, agricultural and environmentally-friendly. He added that the projects oversight panel unanimously approved of the Hirdler llama farm to be included in the project. |
